In addition to the breathtaking scenery outside our windows, the inside of our home has been lovingly decorated with antiques, artwork and comfortable, attractive furnishings. Quite a few teddy bear friends will keep you company; hence we were named “Teddy Bear Place” by one of our young guests. The charming screened-in porch completes the peaceful atmosphere.
All you need to bring is yourself.
Our home has all that you will need for your vacation. The two bedrooms contain very comfortable queen size beds, one a pine four poster bed, the other a brass bed. In addition there is a very comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room that allows a maximum of six people to occupy the condo overnight. There are two full baths and all the linens are provided. The kitchen, overlooking the living and dining areas, is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and pretty much everything else you will need. In the living room area you are invited to enjoy the CD player, HD cable television and VCR, as well as an eclectic selection of CDs, tapes, movies and books. Finally, the cozy fireplace adds just one more element of warmth to the whole room.

The rolling hills of the territory offer three internationally acclaimed golf courses, including the challenging eighteen hole course named “The General”, tennis courts, hiking and fitness trails, boating, excellent fishing, swimming, horseback riding and lessons and fine restaurants for casual or special dining. Nature lovers will especially enjoy the countless critters that are frequently spotted within the territory, including deer, wild turkeys and an occasional fox. Also, the quaint, historic town of Galena with its exquisite architecture, unique shops and excellent restaurants is only ten minutes away.

Even the winter months are enjoyable at Teddy Bear Place. There are so many activities to partake in, such as sledding, ice skating, hiking, ice-fishing and cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing is available at nearby Chestnut Mountain. Afterwards, you can retreat inside, cuddle up near the warm, cozy fireplace with a steaming cup of hot chocolate or relish in the luxury of an afternoon nap.
